		<description>I have not been able to obtain the original document that Lyle refers to, but from the portion quoted it does not appear to me that the government is showing &quot;solicitude for Padilla.&quot;  Instead, they seem to be pointing, correctly IMHO, to the bizarre anomaly of a person being retained in military custody by court order when the military wants to release him from that custody.
