  1. Aside from all the debate about abortion and philosophy, I wish to raise the question of diversity. If comfirmed Alito will be the 5th Roman Catholic male member, serving for the next 20 years on a court of only 9 members. The court does not have a test of religion but it should have a reqirement for diversity.
