Tom is the Publisher and a regular contributor to the blog, which he co-founded with Amy Howe in 2002. He teaches Supreme Court litigation at Harvard Law School, and previously taught at Stanford Law School as well from 2004-2012. Tom has argued 28 cases before the Supreme Court. In an unanimous decision, the Court held that a soybean farmer cannot reproduce agri-giant Monsanto’s patented, genetically modified seeds through planting and harvesting without the company’s permission. Marcia Coyle of The National Law Journal joins Jeffrey Brown to discuss the legal, agricultural, and technological implications of this decision.
