SCOTUSblog is honored to have had the opportunity to organize a series of tributes to the Clerk of the Court, William K. Suter, to commemorate his upcoming retirement.  The tributes are to be published in the Law Review of Tulane Law School, his alma mater.  As the outpouring of respect for General Suter demonstrates, he is a towering figure as a public servant, not only in the vital role he played at the Court but also in his earlier service to the nation.  We will post the tributes seriatim, over two days.
