Upcoming event: Shakespeare and the law

The Shakespeare Theatre Company will host its fourth Shakespeare and the Law Panel Discussion, Shakespeare and Corrupt Practices, sponsored by SCOTUSblog, on Tuesday, November 13.  The Bard Association, STC’s legal membership program, hosts Shakespeare and the Law discussions, which boast panels comprised of some of the most prominent legal and political minds in the country, converging to examine how Shakespeare’s texts reflect on prominent issues today. The panel discussion, titled “Corruption wins not more than honesty”: Shakespeare and Corrupt Practices, will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) with a reception following at 7:30 p.m. 

The panel of legal experts features Judge Paul L. Friedman (U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Columbia), Neil MacBride (U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia), Stephen M. Ryan (McDermott Will & Emery), and Nina Totenberg (NPR), with Abbe D. Lowell (Chadbourne & Parke) as the moderator.
