Happy 10th

2012 marks the ten-year anniversary of three legal blogs that got their start basically together: Volokh Conspiracy, How Appealing, and SCOTUSblog. On our own anniversary at the start of the upcoming Term, I’ll look back at our ten years. But I wanted to send our congratulations and appreciation to the other two today, which is How Appealing’s anniversary.
In my opinion, Volokh remains the single best place to go for interesting, thought-provoking, high-level thinking on the law. How Appealing is the only place to go for a comprehensive review of reporting on legal developments, including Howard Bashman’s own identification of important appellate rulings. While the work here and at Volokh is made easier by our many co-bloggers, Howard has always undertaken the awesome burden of doing everything himself. I don’t know how he does it. Amy and I started SCOTUSblog after reading How Appealing, which also provided us our first link.
We will always be grateful for the inspiration provided by both those blogs.
