- On Wednesday, President Obama nominated U.S. District Judge Henry Floyd to serve on the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. At The BLT, David Ingram notes that Judge Floyd played an important role in Rumsfeld v. Padilla, a 2004 Supreme Court case brought by a U.S. citizen who was detained as an "enemy combatant."
