Today at the Court

Like yesterday, the Court will issue one or more opinions at 10 a.m. this morning, and SCOTUSblog will be live-blogging again.  Then the Court will hear oral arguments in the following two cases:

10 a.m. – At issue in American Needle Inc. v. NFL (08-661) is whether the National Football League and its independently owned teams are a “single entity” for the purposes of federal antitrust law.  Lyle previewed the case earlier for SCOTUSblog.

11 a.m. – The Court will hear argument in Jerman v. Carlisle (08-1200) about whether the "bona fide error" defense of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act applies to mistakes of law.  Matt Sundquist of SCOTUSblog will post a preview of the argument later this morning. [Note: Howe & Russell represents the petitioner in this case.]
