Today at the Court

Orders are expected this morning at 10 a.m. from the Justices’ private conference last Tuesday, November 24.  Oral arguments will follow in two cases:

At 10 a.m., the Court will hear Graham County Soil & Water Conservation Dist. v. United States ex rel. Wilson (08-304), which challenges the scope of the right to sue to recover false claims against the federal government.  Last week Stanford law student Jacqueline de Armas discussed the issues in the case here on SCOTUSblog.

At 11 a.m., the Court will consider the deadline for filing securities fraud lawsuits in Merck & Co., Inc. v.  Reynolds (08-905).  Akin Gump’s John Wittenzellner previewed the case for SCOTUSblog here.
