Sotomayor Nomination
- The Judiciary Committee has scheduled a Tuesday business meeting in which they are likely to vote on Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court. After the committee's vote, the full Senate will likely hold a vote before the August recess, by Aug. 7.
Briefs in case set for reargument
- Amicus briefs are due Friday in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (08-205).
October Term 2009
- The petitioner’s merits brief is due Monday in Free Enterprise Fund and Beckstead and Watts, LLP v. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, et al. (08-861) and due Thursday in Bilski v. Doll (08-964) and Black, et al. v. United States (08-876).
- The respondent’s merits brief is due Monday in Salazar v. Buono (08-472) and Friday in Alvarez v. Smith (08-351).
