No oral arguments are scheduled and no non-capital orders are expected to be issued from the Court today. If any orders are issued in pending cases, we will post them promptly.
On this day in 1905, the Supreme Court in Lochner v. New York found a state law limiting the hours that bakers could work on a daily and weekly basis violated the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment.
