Given the present makeup of the Court I believe Texas proceedures will be upheld.
I have followed this case from the arrest until now and Mr. Nelson did commit a very heinous act. My issue is whether Texas or any state has the right to kill a killer. Billy Ray Nelson is where he belongs. Let's leave him there.
I know the family of the victim and have even visited to her grave. I don't believe they will receive closure with another death.

As a citizen of Big Spring, Texas I have been attending college and I have learned about Billy Ray Nelson's case in passing conversation, I find that the ethics and moral of this case to be a palling, further more if Mr.Nelson is released do to the error by the presiding judge who mistakingly left out the fact that Mr. Nelson had only had an IQ of 65 at the time of the death sentencing then that Judge should be held liable for his release and never to practice law again.
The Conviction was solid for the murder and attempt Murder so he should remain in prison, but if release since serving from 1991 allows him to walk out who is to say he wont go back to the same routine again and return to Big Spring, Texas.
thank you for allowing me my comment, I look forward to learning more from other who can help me understand this more.
